Nik created “Austin Skyline,” for his debut show at Stubb’s, an iconic Austin music venue. This drawing imagines a dramatic, possibly post-apocalyptic Austin skyline from the vantage point of a young couple sitting in a destroyed window ledge. There is also a tie-in with the astronauts of Nik’s other art pieces and a hint at a romantic storyline. As always, Nik brings life to his world with artifacts from the past; a record player, flowers, and The Rolling Stones Album “Gimme Shelter,” in the foreground.
