“The Selfless Lovers,” was the first artwork created for Nik’s new band and the beginning of his professional music career. A long-time sci fi fan and space enthusiast, Nik wanted to set a scene of futuristic romance. Like many of Nik’s pieces, the concept came together with an ordinary event; two people walking their dogs and striking up a conversation. He combined that with a “what if it was in the future?”
